Chairman of the Board, Terry Vannoy and his wife Kari and I live in Colfax, Iowa, and have two teenage children. Terry has served in ministry in the church, missions, and Christian Motorcycle Association for over 20 years. Terry is passionate about his relationship with God, family, and friends, and seek to devote his time to growing in these relationships.

After traveling to Haiti his first time, God broke his heart for the people of Haiti in ways he did not anticipate. Terry continues to be drawn to how active and alive God is in Haiti and believes that God is doing impactful things there for His Kingdom expansion. Terry is thankful for Samaritan’s Heart Ministries (and Pastor Josue) for obedience to follow the calling to walk alongside brothers and sisters in Haiti and is very honored to serve in and grow this ministry.

Vice-Chairman of the Board, Patrick Collins has been an attorney in Daphne, Alabama for over 28 years. He is a graduate of Auburn University (B.S. in Business), the University of Alabama School of Law (J.D.) and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M. Div.). Patrick has been involved in numerous non-profit organizations, both personally and through his law practice.

Patrick appreciates being involved in church and Christian ministries and is currently working, along with others, to develop and grow Samaritans Heart Haiti, a ministry geared toward supporting schools in Haiti. He became involved in Samaritan’s Heart through his friend, Josue Octeus, who invited Patrick to see the work he is doing in some of the most neglected communities in the world. “After seeing what Pastor Josue is doing and witnessing the impact his work has on these children and families in remote Haiti, there is really no way to not want to be involved,” Patrick said.

​Patrick grew up in Mobile in a family of eight children. He and his wife of 23 years, Darlene, now live in Fairhope, Alabama, and they have two grown children, Jacob and Natalie, both of whom attend Union University in Jackson, TN.

Patrick enjoys reading historical biographies, spending time in his hammock, and playing board games with his family. His favorite place to visit is the mountains of North Carolina. Patrick has a keen interest in social issues and evolving political policies.

Treasurer, Kevin Vanderlinden is a member of the Samaritan’s Heart Haiti Board. Kevin has been actively engaged with Samaritan’s Heart for the last four years and been in country for a Talking Bibles® training in addition to offering his expertise in the field of education. Kevin and his wife Deb have answered the call to help teachers and students in Haiti advance their educational goals regardless of external factors. Kevin is an Assistant Principal in the Bondurant-Farrar Community School District. Kevin lives in Bondurant, Iowa with his wife and three sons.

Jae Dwyer is a member of Samaritan’s Hear Haiti Board. Jae has been a part of mission trips to Haiti in support of Samaritan’s Heart education and community programs. Jae is a career teacher who specializes in world language and cultural studies. Her passion is connecting young people around the world to educate and to spread the love of Christ. Jae is currently a middle school French teacher in Ankeny, Iowa. Jae lives in Bondurant, Iowa with her husband Nathan and daughter.

Scott Fiscus is a member of the Samaritan’s Heart Haiti Board. Scott has a heart for missions and ministries that leave an impact on the world. His business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit are an asset when assisting in the strategic plan, budgeting, and networking necessary to fulfill the objectives of the organization. Scott is a main or joint stakeholder in several small businesses and is certified to offer retirement and investment solutions. Scott lives in Pleasant Hill, Iowa with his wife Andrea and has several grown children and treasures his grandchildren.

Kayla Erickson is a member of the Samaritan’s Heart Haiti Board. Kayla has been on a mission trip to Haiti alongside her husband Jared and Pastor Jeff Sanderson. During her trip to Haiti, Kayla worked to equip local Haitians with the skills to use Talking Bibles® to share the gospel and to equip local leaders with emergency response medical best practices. Kayla is a RN BSN, registered nurse specializing in cardiac medicine and heart failure. Kayla lives in Collins, Iowa with her husband Jared and has two grown children and a granddaughter.

Mike Talmsa is a member of the Samaritan’s Heart Haiti Board. Mike has been attending mission trips to Haiti since 2015 and has been associated with Pastor Josue and his ministry since 2016. Mike has been instrumental in designing and coordinating the construction efforts of Americans on the ground in Haiti on multiple new church builds. He has also been an instrumental part of the group who have helped satisfy Pastor Josue’s needs during the pandemic and political turmoil. Mike is co-owner of M&J Construction. Mike lives in Colfax, Iowa with his wife Rebecca and has several grown children who have children of their own.

Craig Buscher has participated in several mission trips to Haiti supporting a variety of Haitian ministries. Craig and his wife Peg have been instrumental to the success of Samaritan’s Heart and will be volunteering closely with Pastor Josue when he arrives in the United States. Craig lives in Bondurant, Iowa and is the proud father of two adult children.

Diane VanWyk is assisting the board of Samaritan’s Heart Haiti in a non-voting capacity. Diane is a retired educator with a passion for the ministry of Pastor Josue. Diane has participated in a mission trip to Haiti supporting Haitian teachers alongside her brother-in-law Pastor Jeff Sanderson. Diane is also the sister of board member Laura Meixner. Diane is instrumental to the success of Samaritan’s Heart and will be volunteering closely with Pastor Josue when he arrives in the United States. She lives in Bondurant, Iowa with her husband Corbin and is the proud mother of two adult children.

Deb Vanderlinden is assisting the board of Samaritan’s Heart Haiti in a non-voting capacity. She is a career educator with a passion for the ministry of Pastor Josue. Deb has participated in a mission trip to Haiti supporting Haitian teachers alongside her husband (Board Member) Kevin. She and Kevin live in Bondurant, Iowa, with their three sons.
